1. What is your Shipping Policy?

In most cases items are in stock and we ship within' three days of purchase.

Pale Rider Designs are custom made and typically ship within two weeks.

!!!!!Due to the high demand for some products, we regret that we can not fulfill all orders within two days. It is Pale Rider Hat Co .policy to have all products in stock when possible. Please continue with your order to ensure fastest delivery. Your order will get top priority.!!!!!!!!!


2. How much are shipping costs?

Hats ship starting at $8.17 for Priority Mail which include handling. Add $1.99 for insurance. For Buckles, belts, and Skinny Minnie Tees shipping starts at $3.99. Anything under one lbs. ships for $3.99.


3. Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately we don't. Due to the difficulty of shipping across borders, in ability to track the package, processing returns, and the different export requirements, we will no longer be accepting International orders. If only the U.S. system was better at handling them, we would not have to disappoint anyone.


4. What is your Privacy Policy?

At Pale Rider Hat Co. we do not sell your personal information, period. From time to time you may get promotional e-mails from Pale Rider Hat Co. alerting you of new styles, discounts, and/or when items are back in stock.

During a transaction we use Verisign's encryption technology to insure that your credit card info is safe. To provide the safest web environment and reduce hackers temptation, Pale Rider Hat Co. does not store your credit card information on its server.


5. What is your Return Policy?

We understand that sometimes items do not fit as expected. Pale Rider Hat Co. will do a same product exchange or even exchange the item for a different style or product. Our return policy is 30 days from the time you receive the item to get a refund. The refund will include a 10% restocking fee. After the 30 day time period you will only receive store credit.

To return the item, items must be in new condition. IF YOU HAVE SHAPED THE HAT YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE AN EXCHANGE.

Please use the packing material provided to ensure that the hat is not crushed on the return. For hats the large cardboard circle is used to protect the crown. Place the crown in the large circle. The small cardboard circle is used to keep the box from being crushed. Place the small circle on the bottom of the hat. The hat should not touch the top or the bottom of the box.

The top of the box should touch one circle, the bottom of the box should touch the other. The hat will be sandwiched between the two. If you do not have the original packing, please pack the best you can and write FRAGILE  on each side of the box. Use Parsel Post, it's the cheapest shipping option.

Please send the hat to Pale Rider Hat Co. Inc, 3108 Glenn Ora A, Austin Tx 78704.

Include a note in the box with the following info,
-Your name, address, and order number.
- Return Postage of $5.00 - DO NOT SEND CASH!!!
-Reason for the return and what needs to be done: size to be exchanged, style to be changed.

6. How should I care for my hat?

Below are few tips to ensure that your hat has a long life.

Avoid water whenever possible.

In general, straw hats are not waterproof. Avoid wearing it in the rain. If it does get wet, dry it as soon as possible.
If you get caught in the rain in your straw, the hat will become pliable. So don't just throw it in the corner to dry out. Instead, turn the brim up and set it out to dry away from the sun or heat.

How to store your hat.

The more you wear your hat, the better it will look. Soon after you wear it for the first time it will mold to the shape of your head, becoming more comfortable.

When taking off your hat refrain from pinching the crown (the top most part) to remove it. Over time this method can cause the crown to lose its shape. An alternative method to remove your hat is to grab the hat by the brim with both hands (one on each side) and lift.

When you are not wearing the hat, store it upside down on its crown (the top) or on its side. This will ensure that it keeps its cool shape. For prolonged storage, place your hat inside a plastic bag and keep away from heat and moisture.

Cleaning.

When your hat becomes dusty you can wipe the hat down with a slightly damp sponge or rag. The preferred method is to use a dry whisk brush and brush away the dirt and grim.

7. How can I safely shape my hat?

Here is the secret to shaping the Kenny Chesney Palm Leaf hat. It also works for all other cowboy hats but please note YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO ROLL THE SIDES REAL TIGHT like you would for the palm leaf.

The best way to shape the hat is with heat and steam. If you do not have a clothes steamer, simply boil a pot of water. About 1" will do. Hold the side of the hat that you want to shape over the steam for a count of 5 seconds. Roll the side up real tight and hold it there till it cools. When you release the brim it will unroll a lot. Repeat for the other sides of the hat. Go slow and get some pictures to look at while you do it and you should be fine.
